Bring back the LSC redefined for the 21st century. If Ford would have kept at the LSC from the 80's they would really have something by now. :x Look at how Toyota/Lexus was laughed at when they got into the Luxury game. Who's laughing now though?

hahaha i'm not living in the past, i'm being realistic here. The have had two failed attempts at making a sport coupe, how many more times do we need to go through this painful process?

The MKR looks alright, but the Mark IX and X were ugly, ugly, UGLY!

The MKR would also only be cool if it was a tricked out GT500 with 550hp.

just in case anyone doesnt know that is a car i photoshopped with parts from an mks and a mustang.

this is the real mkr prototype its still a 4 door

Here's the thing:

If Ford truely wants to be taken seriously in the luxury segment then they have to face the fact that as long as you can get a Lincoln and a Ford in the same dealership they are going to run into a large segment of the population that says "WTF should I pay x% premium for the Lincoln model to my right when the Ford model on my left is this much cheaper.

Lincoln has to be sold out of discrete dealerships, like Lexus and Infiniti are if they want any shot at saying "Hi I'm a Lincoln and I'm special, buy me" because even though you can say things like "Lincoln has free scheduled maintenance for 4 years/50,000mi" (or whatever their numbers are now) it is that sense of being special and unique that sets the luxury brands apart from their more common roots for most people.

As to a two door coupe Lincoln, whether it be a Mustang clone or all new sheet metal, I think that market is so niche now that it would be fighting amongst die hard loyalist customers for a stagnant & shrinking pie. Not somewhere Ford should go IMO.
