They weren't selling very much so for their sales to "surge" it would only have to sell about 10 cars. :) I still don't think they will do well..I do like them a lot though.

Yeah I like the new XK.. But Ford did need to get back to the core business. Now they can put all that money into Lincoln!

I think Ford was still smart to unload and focus on core product.

Probably a good point, just kind of sad they basically developed everything that Jaguar was GOING to be, then had to sell in order to stay afloat. It's like buying an expensive house, improving it and then selling it at a firesale price. Might have been a cash flow necessity, but the timing sucks.

Glad Ford's doing better now regardless. If I was a sucker and believed that any car was actually worth $50k, I'd be driving an XF right now. That's my "if I win the lottery" car (although I never play the lotto) .

Think is that a Jag is generally peaking a wonderful car to look at and to drive. But to own & maintain? "Bloody nightmare" (That's a direct quote from a retired Jaguar mechanic I know)

The newer ones are much better (not saying they're great, just better). Most automotive analysts would agree that Ford did a great deal to improve Jaguar's QC, but, in many ways, they stripped away Jaguar's soul during their tenure.
